What a night! Thank you all! Great to see all these kids giving it their all and pushing themselves out of the comfort zone!  We had a lot of new swimmers looking good and doing things they have never done before.  We also had some veteren swimmers do somethings that were off the chain!  
The coaches and I have notes and awesome takeaways from tonight’s meet.  We will be continuing to work on what we saw with the swimmers. We are all looking for progress!

Saturday!  Who are we racing against?  Hmmm.  The answer to that question is first the clock.  Get your times from tonight and let’s try and better that time by shaving off seconds on Saturday.  
Observations from tonight’s meet. :

-Team area parents job description sent in via email

-No one behind the blocks unless you are specifically working behind the blocks

-No children behind the blocks who are not qued up for swimming in the next few races

-Mock meet was freebie. All future meets you will be charged for missing your volunteer time

-No photos or video behind the blocks.  HUGE NO NO NO MATTER WHAT

-No splash pad or playground during meet, regardless of if your child is done swimmin. Even if you live here during the meet you are to stay in tent city.  Bring games and have family time. There’s an idea. Prep for the next race. 

-Please be respectful of the landscaping and do not pull at the leaves or hang from the trees

-No playing mosh, football, etc.

-parents not working must help with kids in tent city

-Sharpie on the pavement we had an artist use a sharpie on the steps going up to the multipurpose room  please do not write on the cemen or anywhere for that matter.

-No parking on the grass

-Trash very last during clean up/ we have always had the rule that we will leave the area better than we found it.  Please help pick up, put back and throw away.

Relays-  if your child is signed up for a relay please have them down in the ready bench area at the end of the meet.  If your child is not signed up for a relay please stay to the very end as we have things that come up where someone is not feeling well and cannot perform. If you’re still reading this then bring me a piece of fruit on Saturday morning.  This is when we will call on the next swimmer up!  
This was the only meet in the afternoon and want to thank all that sacrificed their time to do swim team, to be here tonight and to step up and volunteer. As I have said this takes a group effort and now that you are Hurricanes you are all part of the group.  Crazy, loud and ready at any moment to to handle the things that could or might happen on any given day.
