HURRICANES!!!
Saturday’s Home Meet vs. The clock!
Our first home meet of the season is Saturday morning against the The clock. Heat Sheets and entry lists have been posted on our website. The volunteer job list will be posted by Friday night. Please print out your own copy of the heat sheet as they will not be available at the meet.
REMINDERS:
- Friday set-up volunteers arrive at pool at 9pm to set up for Saturday’s meet.
- Print Heat sheet and mark your swimmers’ events on their arm before arriving to the pool. On their back right shoulder write their first Initial, last name and SHST.
- Parking Lot is limited. Please refer to the parking information under documents for available parking areas. Do not park on the grass.
- Team area will be set up in the grassy area behind the pool. The area on the starters side of the pool is off limits to swimmers and spectators. No parents behind the blocks unless you are timing or working at the ready bench. Please feel free to cheer from the far end of the pool and the side opposite the starter.
- STAY IN THE TEAM AREA!!Splash pad, park, basketball courts, soccer fields are not to be used. Please bring cards, board games, etc. to occupy your time between events.
- When the meet is over, we are all responsible for cleaning up, put the chairs back in place, emptying the trash, and leaving the pool area in better shape than we found it. Please do your part.
- Once you have arrived, please check in at the volunteer check-in table. All volunteers must check in prior to 7:15am whether you are 1st or 2nd half volunteers.
- Swimmers are now required to check in at the volunteer check in table. An assistant coach will be at the table checking in swimmers. If a swimmer has not checked in by 7:00am, we will have to scratch them from the meet.
- Please text Coach Marissa at 845-645-2138 if your child is unable to make it to the meet due to illness or if you are running late.
- Now is the time to RSVP for all remaining meets. Once entries are submitted, we are unable to make exceptions. Remember, in order to participate in Champ meet, swimmers must attend 3 meets.
- Finally, nutrition. It is important that your child is eating healthy food that will give them energy to do well during the meet. Please read this article to help your child “fuel like a champion to race like a champion”. https://www.yourswimlog.com/
