July 25th: Ichetucknee River End-of-Season Family Trip

Our annual Ichetucknee River Trip is almost here!

This is one of our favorite traditions and a great way to celebrate the end of another swim season with our swim families.

Please note: This is a family event, not a team-sponsored activity. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the day. Coaches and team volunteers are not responsible for participants.

The Ichetucknee River is a beautiful, spring-fed river that stays around 72°F year-round. We'll be tubing from Dampier's Landing (South Entrance) to the final take-out, with each float lasting approximately 45–60 minutes.

    Important Information

    Arrive Early

The park often reaches capacity, especially on weekends, so arriving early is essential.

    • 6:30 AM: Meet at the neighborhood pool.
    • 6:45 AM: We will depart promptly as a caravan.
    • Our goal is to be on the water by 9:00 AM.

    Park Address

    Ichetucknee Springs State Park
    12087 SW US Highway 27
    Fort White, FL 32038

Be sure to enter through the South Entrance (Dampier's Landing), which is three right turns past the park's main entrance.

    Park Admission

    • $6 per vehicle (2–8 occupants)
    • $4 for single-occupant vehicles

    Tubes & Shuttle

You will need something to float on. You're welcome to bring your own tube, but renting one at the park is the easiest option.

We also highly recommend purchasing a shuttle/tram wristband, which returns you to the parking area after each float. Otherwise, you'll have about a half-mile walk back through the woods.

To save time, reserve your tube and shuttle online before arriving.

    Waivers

Everyone participating must complete a waiver before entering the river. You can complete the waiver and reserve tubes/shuttle passes online by selecting July 25.

    Food & Drinks

Each family is responsible for bringing their own lunch, snacks, and drinks.

    Please note:

    • Food and beverages may only be consumed in the parking lot and picnic areas.
    • Only reusable water bottles are allowed on the river (no disposable containers).
    • Alcohol is prohibited throughout the park.

There is a general store and grill at Dampier's Landing, but wait times can be long during busy weekends.
